K301s kohler engine issues. Need some help. I have an older k301s 12hp engine with running issues. When running the engine pulsates and then dies. It had 50 psi compression, good spark, clean gas (from tank to carb). Tried resetting idle and high idle screws. Readjusted the contact. Need some knowledge where to go. Have a 20 hp Kohler v twin that is surging bad. Smoothes out with choke pulled 1/4 way out. Brand new carb, checked both coils with testers and there both good. All gaskets are brand new. Not sure what to do. The 1st place to look would be debris in the "idle circuit", in the carb.
